After Split (2014), Thessaloniki (2015), Chania (2016), Dubrovnik (2017), Prague (2018), Bolzano (2019), Zadar (2022), SPLITRS is taking us to Porto, Portugal. Once again, an intensive learning remote sensing program for professionals and graduate students will be offered at a great location where you will appreciate PORTO’s unique charm, views of the Duoro River from beautiful bridges, colorful UNESCO World Heritage historic district to the north, Porto’s old churches, the region’s famous wineries, and the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean.

o    Efficient geometric representations of real-world environments
o    UAV based coastal monitoring – UAV Photogrammetry
o    Machine Learning and Deep Learning
o    The ARTMO toolbox for analyzing and processing of hyperspectral data
o    LiDAR data – processing and applications
o    Basics on SAR with a practical session on preprocessing of SAR image
Festival of St John of Porto 2023: Europe’s Greatest Street Party
o    Dating back to the 14th century, the annual celebration takes place on the night of 23 June, paying tribute to Saint John

• the Baptist. The party combines sacred and profane traditions in a night filled with food, culture, fireworks and more
