BiDS | BIG DATA FROM SPACE 2025

BiDS brings together key actors from industry, academia, EU institutions, and government to explore the evolving landscape of space-based big data and emerging technologies.  With an emphasis on revealing user needs, showcasing technical solutions and applications, and exchanging ideas on future development roadmaps, BiDS fosters discussions on the most recent innovations and challenges encountered in the context of big data from space. The 2025 edition will spotlight how breakthrough technologies—spanning Earth Observation, Space Science, Navigation, Telecommunications, and AI—can power data-driven insights and foresight, strengthening evidence-informed decision-making for pressing global challenges such as climate change, sustainable competitiveness, the green transition and civil security.

The event, organized by the European Space Agency (ESA) together with the European Union Satellite Center (SatCen) and the Joint Research Center (JRC), will take place at the University of Latvia on 29-30 September 2025 and at the National Library of Latvia on 1-3 October 2025.
